Hello! My name is Troy and I have over 15 years of experience in LMS Administration and E-learning development. Over the course of my career I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to work on various projects ranging from the development of interactive e-learning, LMS Administration and designing web and mobile apps. I love technology and also have a creative streak, so LMS Administration and E-learning development are the perfect outlet for me.
I have worked for both large Fortune 500 companies, as well as fast moving startups, but I am always open to opportunities and challenges both large and small.

I have expert skills in Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate focusing on development of technical training, but have also developed softskills training. In addition, I am experienced with Camtasia for recording video based software demos and have a working knowledge of After Effects.
During my career, I have had the opportunity to implement and administer several Learning Management Systems, including LearnUpon, Skilljar, Brainshark, Skillport and Saba. I believe a good LMS administrator, can quickly adapt to any new LMS, regardless of vendor.
I have worked as a UX Designer and Architect on both mobile and web applications. Typical project tasks include: Wireframes and Interactive Prototypes using tools such as iRise or Axure. Creation of both low and high-fidelity Mockups as well as Icons and Visual Design.
I have worked as an Instructional Designer specializing in the creation of interactive E-learning with an emphasis on Technical Training. Tasks include completing an Instructional Analysis and Storyboard, writing/recording of Narration, Visual Design and Development.
I have experience with the following technologies: HTML and CSS for the development of prototypes and front-end design, knowledge of JavaScript/Google Apps Script, and experience with APIs. In the past, I have also worked on teams assisting to develop iOS Apps (Swift).
I have excellent Time Management and Communication skills, and I am also highly Organized. I am also Self-motivated and believe in Continuos Learning in order to refine and expand my skills. I enjoy trying new places to eat and am a self-proclaimed Foodie :).
Where I have honed my skills
Responsible for the management of 3 instances of the LMS, serving a population of approximately 35K for internal employees, customers and partners. Customize UI of LMS and templates with HTML/CSS. Provide troubleshooting and support for LMS related issues. Partner with cross functional teams to integrate the LMS with Salesforce, SSO and other enterprise software. Partner with HR/CISO to manage annual compliance training. Leverage APIs and Google Apps Script to integrate data into Looker dashboards and to create and automate LMS functionality. Provide reporting and metrics to upper-level management. Create and manage the Academy website. Provide video editing and content upload into the LMS for various teams across the organization. Package, publish and test SCORM/xAPI courses (Articulate Storyline/Rise) and assessments in the LMS. Create and manage groups, courses and Learning Paths in the LMS to automate the assignment and delivery of course content. Partner with Channel team for various training initiatives. Assist with the management of the Netskope Certification Program. Act as a liaison between Netskope and LMS vendor and support teams.
Netskope is the leading Cloud Security Access Broker (CASB) based in Santa Clara. In my role as Sr. Instructional Designer and LMS Adminstrator, I was responsible for designing and developing technical and enablement training for internal, customer and partner populations. In addition, I was hired to implement and administer 2 Learning Management Systems. The first was LearnUpon which was used corporate wide internally, as well as for customer and partner enablement. The second LMS was Brainshark which was used extensively by the sales enablement team.
Hortonworks (acquired by Cloudera) is a leading vendor of Apache Hadoop based in Santa Clara. In my role as Lead E-learning Developer, I was responsible for designing and developing technical and enablement E-learning for both internal and external populations for our subscription based learning program. I was also responsible for training internal staff and contract developers in the use of various e-learning development software. I also acted as an LMS Admininstrator for Hortonworks University and led the effort to develop a new video based on-line learning program. I assisted in the implementation the Skilljar LMS, and was responsible for updating and maintaining Hortonworks University training site on Hortonworks.com. I was also responsible for building and maintaining the Partner Enablement Portal, building and maintaining the Hortonworks University Support portal (Zendesk administration) and maintained the Hortonworks University Content Repository.
Black Knight Financial Services provides integrated technology to the mortgage industry. In my role as a UX Designer, I was part of a small Innovation Lab responsible for designing and creating proof of concepts and prototypes for new cutting edge products. Projects included both desktop/web applications and mobile applications. Tasks included interactive wireframes using iRise/Axure, high-fidelity mockups, process flows/presentation slide decks, POCs implemented in HTML/CSS as well as prototypes developed with mobile platforms such as Android and iOS.
In my role as E-learning Manager and LMS Admin, I was responsible for managing a team of 5 e-learning developers and a training coordinator. I was also responsible for assisting in the selection and implementation of the LMS, reporting, uploading of content to the LMS, batch loading of users and troublshooting. In addition, I was responsible for the creation of the customer facing training website and the creation of e-learning templates and standards.
As a Sr. Instructional Designer, my primary responsibility was the creation of both Instructor-Led and e-learning for the Enterprise eTime product line. Deliverables included student and instructor guides with hands of lab activities, PowerPoint decks and quick reference materials. In addition, I was responsible for the creation of demos and simulations with Adobe Captivate, and helped maintain the lab environments (using VMWare images). I was also a member of the E-learning Standards committee.

Where I have learned and studied
I completed my CS degree at UNF located in Jacksonville, Florida. Relevant areas of study included Data Structures, Advanced Data Structures, C/Java Programming and Multimedia Development.
The Certificate Program for the Systems of Instructional Design focuses on all aspects of developing curriculum, from conducting a task analysis, to evaluation of how well the course meets the needs of the learners.
Cooper Consulting (Founded by Alan Cooper) is one of the top design consulting firms on the world. I had the opportunity to complete the Interaction Design Practicum workshop which covered such topics as the use and creation of Peronas, Goal-Directed Design, User-Research and Scenarios.
